Day-by-day itinerary
DAY 1
Chandigarh to Shimla
Drive to Shimla (about 115 km). Afternoon at Jakhoo Temple and evening on the Ridge and Mall Road. Overnight in Shimla.
DAY 2
Shimla to Jibhi via Jalori Pass
Drive via Narkanda and Ani to Jalori Pass; walk to Serolsar Lake, then descend to Jibhi. Overnight in Jibhi.
DAY 3
Jibhi and Tirthan
Jibhi waterfall, the hike to Chehni Kothi, and an afternoon by the Tirthan river. Overnight in Jibhi.
DAY 4
Jibhi to Manali
Drive via Aut and Kullu to Manali (about 110 km), with a stop at Kullu shawl outlets. Evening on Mall Road. Overnight in Manali.
DAY 5
Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel
Full day at Solang Valley and through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu. Overnight in Manali.
DAY 6
Manali to Chandigarh
Morning at Hadimba Temple, then drive to Chandigarh (about 300 km). Tour ends.
A private cab tour that turns the usual Shimla–Manali run into something more interesting. From Shimla you cross Narkanda and the 3,120 m Jalori Pass into the Banjar valley for two nights in Jibhi, then drive through the Aut tunnel to Manali for Solang and the Atal Tunnel before heading back to Chandigarh.
Departure point: Ex Chandigarh. Pick-up from Chandigarh airport, railway station or hotel on Day 1; drop at the same point on Day 6.
